General or business social networking site. Users can create a profile, collaborate on projects and find business partners

ResearchGATE
Scientific researcher networking site. Users can create a profile, join groups, list publications, create online discussions, and find collaborators. Monash staff and students join via this link to be added automatically to your local community.

Virtual worlds

Second Life
